After their BN-2B Islander, Pocket Rocket and Take Command! Cirrus series, the next addon by TorqueSim is going to be the Turbine Islander. In an article on their website, the lead developer on the BN-2B shared his passion for the Islander with us and walked us through the differences and improvements of the BN-2T.
When it comes to the features, a new interior and exterior models were done, as well as new textures, better UV mapping and texel density. While the model is new, the current repaints will remain compatible, the default paint schemes have been updated to match the new standard with better rivets and improved joins, new paint kits supporting the new version will be released. When it comes to the flight model, you can expect a great improvement. In other words, the Turbine Islander is completely new addon.
The studio also took the opportunity to announce the 1.2 update for the BN-2B. It will be rolled out alongside the Turbine Islander very soon. You can track their progress on their twitter page.
