TropicalSim Releases Punta Cana Airport v2 For MSFS

TropicalSim has started the year with the release of the Punta Cana Airport v2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. TropicalSim is a developer well-known for creating airport sceneries in the Caribbean region since 2006.

The airport is privately owned by the Punta Cana Resort and Club, and its history began in 1971 when the Punta Cana Club Hotel was opened along with a small airstrip. In the 1980s, the hotel’s owners got permission from the government to rebuild the airstrip into an international airport.

Punta Cana International Airport is a true gateway to paradise; it is one of the country’s busiest airports, serving over eight million passengers in 2022. Despite the many passengers served, most of the gates are not equipped with jetways, and the runways are not equipped with the ILS.

The add-on uses a mix of PBR textures and MSFS default materials to create detailed airport facilities. Each of the few jetways has received a custom animation. The developer also created terminal B, which was opened in July of last year, with some details inside of the terminal.

The airport seamlessly integrates with the default MSFS scenery allowing users to feel a high level of realism. After the sun sets, the highly detailed airport lighting turns on, illuminating the terminals inside and the aerodrome.

TropicalSim Punta Cana Airport v2 is available at simMarket.com for EUR 22.14 if you bought this airport at simMarket for an older simulator, you should receive an upgrade discount of 40% or 23%. If you are interested in TropicalSim work, check out their Kansas City release for MSFS.
