Through their Facebook page, UK2000 has today formally announced their rendition of Cardiff Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator to be in development and releasing soon.

Officially known as Cardiff 2021HD, it is going to be the eighth product to be released for the platform.

While the developers have shared enough previews showcasing the scenery in the simulator, they have also confirmed the release is not scheduled to happen before Christmas. The feature list, as well as price, is also yet to be revealed.

Unfortunately, no proper information was shared on what can we expect from the scenery and so until we hear from the developer in the future, we can’t tell for certain what will the scenery offer apart from the usual features.

Cardiff Airport (EGFF) is an international airport serving the capital of Wales, Cardiff. With over 1,5 million passengers annually, it is the busiest airport in Wales. The history of the airport dates back to the 1940s when the Air Ministry requisitioned land to set up a training base and aerodrome named RAF Rhoose. Nowadays, the biggest operator at the airport is TUI Airways with mainly seasonal flights to destinations such as Corfu, Antalya, Málaga, Rhodes, or Zakynthos.
