About Bournemouth Airport

Bournemouth Airport, previously known as Hurn Airport, is an international airport located six kilometers north-northeast of Bournemouth, England. The site first opened as RAF Hurn in Word War II but was shortly transferred to civil control in 1944. Between 1944 and 1946, Hurn briefly served as the international gateway for London until the opening of Heathrow Airport. Commercial services soon opened in the 1950s when Palmair commenced flights to Palma, Majorca in 1958. Ryanair and TUI Airways soon based aircraft at the airport, now serving Western Europe and the Mediterranean Area.

Key Features

UK2000’s latest airport scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator is a highly detailed recreation of Bournemouth Airport. It features highly detailed buildings, realistic ground markings, hi-resolution ground imagery around the airport, and stunning night effects provided by accurately modeled night lighting. Further features of the airport also include highly detailed airport vehicles, excellent optimization for the best frame rates, proper signage for taxiways, fences around the airport perimeter, and PBR texturing on all hand-crafted models. The developer has also added vegetation around the landside as well as static aircraft throughout the airport.
