UK2000 Scenery Releases Guernsey Airport for MSFS

UK2000 Scenery released Guernsey Airport (EGJB) for Microsoft Flight Simulator last week. The team is known for their airport add-ons for MSFS and Prepar3D, but they have been most active with MSFS lately.

Guernsey Airport is located on the island of Guernsey, an island part of the Channel Islands, between the United Kingdom and France. Built before World War II, in 1939, it served on four grass runways until 1960 when a new tarmac runway was introduced. It has received numerous modifications over the years, such as runway upgrades and terminal extensions. It facilitates domestic and international flights and supports a wide spectrum of aircraft from turbojets to regional jets.

Guernsey Airport serves more than half a million passengers annually and its passenger numbers continue to grow. Besides commercial flights, there are also air ambulance services and irregular military flights at the airport which can be perfect for those who enjoy realistic scenarios.

The add-on offers fully detailed buildings and ground vehicles. You can find high-resolution ground textures and realistic ground markings. If you are worried about performance, the developer ensures that it performs with “excellent frame rates.” It comes with additional fencing and vegetation and offers PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials that increase the realism of the textures. Static aircraft and a full set of signs are also present at the airport. It offers night effects for those who enjoy night operations.

Guernsey Airport supports both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 and can be purchased via the in-game Marketplace or from the simMarket website for £12.45, €9.89, or $12.60. Make sure to install the latest UK2000 Scenery common library from their website or in-game Marketplace.
