Verticalsim, a multi-platform scenery developer, has taken to their social networks, including their Discord server, to announce a new scenery being developed for X-Plane 11 and Microsoft Flight Simulator and to announce, that their VStates Project will no longer be developed.
First of all, as mentioned, a new scenery has been announced for X-Plane 11 and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Covering Clearwater Air Park (KCLW), the scenery will feature PBR ground textures and buildings, latest airport layout, clutter objects, proper airport data such as PAPI light positioning or AI taxi pathing, or free future updates, for example.
A total of four screenshots from the modelling software have been shared and can be seen below showcasing the airport buildings.
Nor the release date or pricing details have been included in the post.
Clearwater Air Park (KCLW) is a small general aviation airport located on the western coast of Florida just five kilometers northeast of Clearwater. The airport is equipped with a newly extended and resurfaced runway. At the airport, take-offs and landings are only permitted from 7 A.M. to 11 P.M.
Now on a different subject, as mentioned in the introduction, a few hours after the post announcing the new scenery, Verticalsim has made an announcement, that due to the server costs and lack of donations to support the project, VStates, a color-corrected orthoimagery for the USA, will be only available on Google Drive in the future and the development of new states has been terminated.
I know this is a big announcement, but unfortunately I’m going to have to report the seedbox for VStates is going to be ended as the server costs are becoming to much and not enough donations are coming in to support it, especially with the introduction of Microsoft Flightsim.
