Verticalsim has released a third set of preview images for its upcoming Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Shared directly with the community on the developer’s Discord, these new shots highlight the ongoing progress of the Florida airport project and offer a closer look at the custom modeling, lighting, and atmosphere expected in the final release. The developer’s message “Not too far away now” suggests this may be the final preview before release.
About Palm Beach International Airport
Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) is located three miles west of downtown West Palm Beach and has served the region since 1936. Today, more than six million passengers pass through its doors each year. The airport supports a wide variety of traffic, including commercial airlines, business jets—with five FBOs on the field—general aviation, and seasonal international flights.

The airport’s octagonal control tower is a true local landmark, instantly recognizable for its unique shape and prominent position near the approach roads. The airfield features three runways: 10L/28R (10,000 feet) and 10R/28L (6,931 feet), both used for commercial and private operations, and 14/32, a shorter runway primarily dedicated to general aviation.
JetBlue Airways operates the largest network from Palm Beach International, connecting to destinations across the United States. Air Canada provides seasonal service to Toronto and Montreal. With three concourses, the airport is the principal gateway to South Florida and the Palm Beaches, and frequently draws national attention as the arrival point for Air Force One during presidential visits to Mar-a-Lago.

Verticalsim’s Sunshine State
Verticalsim is a well-established developer known for its U.S. airports in Microsoft Flight Simulator, with a strong portfolio of Florida destinations including Tampa International (KTPA), St. Pete/Clearwater (KPIE), Southwest Florida International (KRSW), Sarasota (KSRQ), and now Palm Beach International itself. Announced in mid-2023, the Palm Beach International Airport project has since been the subject of several preview sets. These showcase custom 3D models for the famous octagonal control tower and terminal, as well as a range of adjacent structures, including the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office headquarters, a neighboring gas station, and an adjacent shopping mall. Apron areas are also shown under varied lighting and weather.

As of August 2025, Verticalsim lists the scenery as “coming soon” for both MSFS 2020 and 2024, with a planned price of $19.99. No firm release date has been announced but rest assured FSNews will report on any further developments. For the latest previews and updates, you can also visit the developer’s Discord page.
