Scenery developer Verticalsim took to Facebook today to announce their newly released freeware Kitty Hawk Airport (KFFA) for MSFS. Verticalsim shared screenshots of the newly released airport which features custom objects, and most notably the Wright brothers national memorial located near Kill Devil Hill, just uphill from the airport.
Kitty Hawk airport is located in North Carolina, not far from Norfolk. The airport is known for its pre-flight experiments, carried out by the Wright brothers. It was eventually the site of the first heavier-than-air powered aircraft flight in December 1903. For this reason, the airport is also called First Flight Airport.
This is Verticalsim’s first freeware scenery for MSFS, and is currently the only scenery to exist for this airport in MSFS.
