Verticalsim took to their Discord server earlier this week to announce the release of their rendition of Huntington Tri-State Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The product was announced two months ago on May 10th with previews and teasers being shared on their Discord server in June.
About Huntington Tri-State Airport
Tri-State Airport (KHTS) also known as the Milton J. Ferguson Field is a public airport in Wayne County, West Virginia, United States. It is located three miles south of Huntington, West Virginia, near Ceredo and Kenova. It is owned by the Tri-State Airport Authority and serves Huntington, Ashland (Kentucky), and Ironton (Ohio). It receives a heavy amount of general aviation traffic, and after the withdrawal of Delta Airlines services, was down to only two commercial airlines. Only one of the two airlines provides nationwide connecting services. Additionally, there is a cargo airline serving the airport bringing the total number of commercial airlines serving the airport to three.

Key Features
Verticalsim’s Huntington Tri-State Airport features a fully modeled terminal building with a simply crafted interior to enable the highest performance possible. The airport also features fully modeled accurate hangars and an FBO along with a variable level of detail (LOD) for performance optimization.
The developers have also added custom high-grade aerial imagery for better realism, the latest 2024 airport layout, custom taxiway signage, obstruction lights, guard lights, and high-resolution accurate texturing of airport buildings with PBR. Furthermore, a partial but custom model of the Cattlesburg Oil Refinery and an official GSX Pro profile made by US Profiles has also been included by the developers.
