Verticalsim Releases Myrtle Beach Airport for XP11

After postponing the release of the scenery back in late 2019, Verticalsim has today, almost two years later, released their rendition of Myrtle Beach International Airport (KMYR) for X-Plane 11.

The scenery development was originally postponed due to the lack of interest within the community for such an airport. The developer has, back in 2019, instead decided to prioritize work on Tampa Airport (KTPA) scenery.

While the scenery development began back in 2019, Verticalsim made sure the scenery accurately represents the current airport layout from this year. Additionally, 4K textures are present throughout the scenery.

Other than that, the scenery features everything one would expect nowadays from scenery, including custom animated car traffic, 3D vegetation, HDR night lighting, or custom jetways using SAM. The complete feature list can be found below in the article.

The scenery can be purchased through the Verticalsim store for $17.99 or about €15.

For those unfamiliar with the airport, Myrtle Beach International Airport (KMYR) is equipped with a single asphalt runway, and saw almost three million passengers back in 2019. While no airline is based at the airport, it sees traffic from Allegiant Air, American Eagle, or Spirit Airlines with routes covering mainly the country itself.
