VirtualDesign3D Updates Alicante Airport for X-Plane 11

VirtualDesign3D team has recently released an update for their scenery covering the Alicante Airport (LEAL) in X-Plane 11. Being almost a three year old scenery, with only four updates released since the initial release, it seems like the developers do not give much attention to the scenery.

This does not however change anything on the fact, that version 1.5, released three days ago, features some significant improvements and additions to the scenery. These include, for example, fixed taxi lights and improved aircraft parking markings, or improved textures and beacons at runway exits.

Additionally, improvements were made to the Mega Luces Apron and holding Bye as well as to the glass materials and textures present on the terminal building. Furthermore, for users of the GroundTraffic plugin, the scenery was optimized for its usage in Vulkan. The complete changelog of the new version can be seen below in the article.

In order to update the scenery, simply download the new files from the X-Plane.org Store and replace the previous files.

If you want to purchase the scenery, you can do so through the X-Plane.org Store for $19.99 or about €16.40.

Alicante is one of the busiest holiday destinations in Spain, its airport, officially known as Alicante-Elche Airport (LEAL) is the fifth-busiest airport in the country and serves as a hub for Vueling and Ryanair. It saw about 15 million passengers back in 2019 before the pandemic.
