The Argentinian developer, VueloSimple, brings a brand-new airport in Argentina to its growing collection of sceneries for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time we head to the Jujuy province in northern Argentina with the rendition of Gobernador Horacio Guzmán International Airport (SASJ).
Discover the Jujuy Province
Originally opened in 1967 as El Cadillal airport for the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, Gobernador Horacio Guzmán International Airport is the northernmost Argentinian airport with regularly scheduled flights. It is served by regular flights from Aerolineas Argentinas, JetSmart, and FlyBondi. The airport used to be a refuelling stop for long-haul flights from Aerolineas Argentinas in their Boeing 707 to destinations such as Los Angeles or Mexico City, even operating scheduled service to Miami. In 2020, the current operator of the airport, Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, opened a new terminal to expand operations and handle more flights.
According to the features from the developer in SimMarket, this airport includes a highly detailed main terminal and control tower, both with interiors. VueloSimple’s Jujuy Airport rendition reflects the updated main apron with the correct parking positions and markings. Custom runway materials and accurate night illumination at the airport are also included.
VueloSimple SASJ for MSFS also includes:
- A modeled hangar from the Jujuy Province
- The YPF Fuel Plant
- Optimized LODs for FPS-friendly performance.
This scenery joins as their 6th scenery in Argentina, also having worked in bringing other airports around the globe to MSFS like Punta del Este airport or Velana airport. VueloSimple’s Jujuy is available at SimMarket for €9.99. You can check our previous VueloSimple article here.
