In a very well-received post, the popular home cockpit hardware manufacturer WINWING announced a series of updates on its cross-platform MCDU/PFP products. The manufacturer also provided an update on the shipping and stock status of some of its products.
Writing on its Facebook page on Wednesday, 23rd of January, WINWING confirmed that the new character editing and light sensor features are moving through the testing process in conjunction with its companion SimAppPro software. These over-the-air updates will be available through the app as soon as the QA process is completed. In the interim, a new update of the SimAppPro software is already available directly on the WINWING site, which resolves some existing issues as reported by early adopters.

More welcome news for flight sim enthusiasts waiting to get their hands on the WINWING MCDU/PFP range is that a ‘small’ restock of the PFP 3N variant has been made available through the manufacturer’s global shipping site. In addition to that, there was news for those customers with a pre-order who are still waiting for their items. WINWING confirmed it was shipping orders sequentially and now that more stock had been released, they’d be receiving payment and shipping notifications as the orders are processed.
Potential customers should check their local regional store for stock quantities since WINWING receives the items individually and updates its stock daily. Many of those wishing to get their hands on the range have been pleased to hear that the company will soon be introducing regularly updated compatibility lists for each product, giving confidence to consumers that they’ll know exactly which of their favourite aircraft the products will be fully compatible with.
We covered the release of the MIP series of panels earlier this year and since then, the interest in them has only been building. Many simmers are praising WINWING for the accessible price point and the quality of service, as can be seen by many of the comments on this recent Facebook post.
