WINWING Introduces The EXPED Button Kit For Their FCU

WINWING have begun shipping of the EXPED button kit for their already released Airbus FCU. This kit adds the missing expedite button on their full scale Airbus FCU. The FCU began shipping back in April, but the unit shipped with an unlabelled button that was instead coloured blue to match the rest of the unit.

The WINWING EXPED Kit

The button kit comes with four keycaps, two of them are just solid black keycaps. This replaces the current blue capped button that may not be visually appealing or appropriate for your needs. The two other keycaps are solid black with the text, “EXPED”. This style may fit your needs better or provide more realism depending on your style.

Their initial approach to this FCU unit was to align it with the design of the A320 FCU. However, after receiving feedback from several pilots, the team decided to offer the upgrade as an optional addition. This upgrade is purely visual, and so your experience won’t differ if you decide to not opt for this upgrade to your unit.

Stated on their website, the price comes in at just $1 or โ‚ฌ0.92. However, shipping costs are calculated based off your address and are handled by FedEx. This means the cost will likely be higher than the stated price. Shipping costs vary, you can, however, enter your information on the WINWING website when checking out to look at the cost of shipping for you.
