X-Crafts Releases Major Update for E-Jets

The development team of X-Crafts has updated their E-Jets for X-Plane to version 1.1.0. This comprehensive update significantly improves the aircraft and makes it a very realistic rendition of the E-Jets series. The information about this update has been posted via X-Craft’s website.

New Features

The release happened on the 25th of September, and among many improvements, there are also new features. Among these, we can find the FMS Speed feature. This helps to automatically set the correct speed for the autothrottle, based on the data in the flight management system. These values are changed automatically throughout each phase of the fight, and it will depend on the aircraft configuration as well. Speeds can also be defined by speed constraints in SIDs and STARs.

ILS autotune is going to make ILS approaches easier. This feature will correctly load the NAV frequency into the radios based on the approach set up in the flight management system. An automatic switch to V/L has also been implemented. This ensures a seamless transition from VNAV/LNAV to VOR/LOC when the lateral deviation is less than one dot on the approach.

The Embraer 190 and 170 also include steep approach systems. This is mostly used at London City Airport, for example, where the glide slope is steeper than 3.5 degrees. This approach automatically opens the speed brakes and changes throttle settings, ensuring a go-around possibility if required.

Some visual improvements have been added as well. This includes the halo effect of landing and taxi lights in X-Plane 12, animated pilots with constant movement that reacts to turbulence, G forces, and pitch and roll.

Improvements to X-Crafts E-Jets

X-Crafts has done a ton of fixes in this update. This includes better automatic descend initiation on T/D, corrected fonts in manual speed mode and improved gross weight calculations. Moreover, you can now also insert a CO ROUTE into the FMS by typing the name of it into the scratchpad. Thus, you no longer have to select the CO ROUTE through the list.

The six-digit values are no longer going to leak out the FMS screen. During the night, the cockpit is not going to have the glowing surface under the window at night. The cockpit lights are no longer turned on in cold and dark state, there are no longer corrupted letters on the WX button.

Furthermore, some changes were made to the PFD, with added steep approach indications, improved flight director in X-Plane 11, bringing it on par with X-Plane 12 and the MFD no longer has the frozen map bug. The EFB also received improved take-off CG calculations and the simulator no longer crashes when a wrong ICAO code is entered.

There are also improvements to the 3D model, sounds, hardware, VR compatibility, hydraulic systems, anti-ice and much more. To read the full changelog, make sure to visit the X-Crafts website here.
