X-Plane 12 Released on Steam, Beta 3 Released and Development Update

The team at Laminar Research has taken to the X-Plane website to announce the release of Beta 3 of X-Plane 12. The developers have also detailed the development of the simulator. X-Plane 12 is now available for purchase through Steam for 59,99€.

Beta 3 Released:

With Beta 3 the developers have corrected a fair amount of bugs. They have fixed the black screen when bailing early from the intro, restored in-app purchases, and fixed a crash on the exit of the boat manager. They have also resolved a few crashes to desktop caused by the default aircraft. The team fixed the crash that occurred by trying to access PERF LANDING in the Citation. They have also resolved the crash that emerged when selecting a STAR in Citation X.

The development detailed:

The team has detailed the development of X-Plane 12. In the coming months, the team will work on clouds, lighting, and custom Airbus MCDU for the A330 as well as third-party interfaces. They will also work on the optimization of the sim and especially on GPU optimization.
