Leading Edge Simulations DC-3 Development Update for X-Plane 11

Leading Edge Simulations released the fourth development update for their long-awaited DC-3 for X-Plane 11 yesterday. This development update is based on systems, and the developers go in depth about it.

X-Plane 11 offers a ‘generic’ way of using systems. For modern airliners, many developers will have to expand on this either with plugins or creating their own code. The DC-3 does not have many automated systems, so the developers actually have to move backwards in this process. Leading Edge Simulations has to create their own systems version since the aircraft was built so long ago in order to make the aircraft as accurate as possible.

Leading Edge Simulations actually works with former DC-3 and C-47 pilots. This helps the developers recreate every detail to insure that it will be realistic within X-Plane 11.
