Boundless Announces Alderney Island for X-Plane 11

Boundless has today officially announced the development of Alderney Island for X-Plane 11. The developers have partnered again with Ciano35, a developer who participated in the Kerry Airport (EIKY) scenery development. It is the first scenery of the type developed by Boundless.

Based on the email we received from the developers, the scenery will feature crisp orthophoto imagery from the States of Guernsey from 2019, every major landmark on the island modelled, custom night lighting, or custom optional mesh, for example.

There were no mentions of the expected release date or pricing details in the email, however, a few previews of the scenery were included showcasing the orthophoto imagery and landmarks around the island.

Alderney is the northernmost island of the Channel Islands. With an area of about 8 km2, the island is the third-largest in the group of islands. There is a single airport on the island, Alderney Airport (EGJA), which sees only about 50 thousand passengers each year with routes to Southampton and Guernsey.
