A2A Simulations Piper Aerostar Releasing Into Early Access in July

General Aviation developer A2A Simulations has taken to its Discord server and forums to announce that its highly anticipated Piper Aerostar for MSFS 2024 is in the final stages of development, and will be launching into early access in July.

This announcement comes around seven months after the aircraft’s delay was announced, and just under two years after the developer’s previous release, the Comanche 250. Lewis from A2A states that “development of the Aerostar has taken longer than expected due to a combination of business demands and personal challenges,” but reassures simmers that the aircraft will be worth the wait.

A2A’s Aerostar will be launching into early access next month with most systems and features already complete. A roadmap will be shared shortly after release to let everyone know what will be added to the Aerostar and when. A2A remarks that everything shown in the screenshots shared is still work-in-progress, and may change for the full release.

While they weren’t mentioned, some of the features you can expect based on A2A’s previous releases and the screenshots shared include a full walkaround feature, extensive engines and systems simulations including wear on individual engine and airframe components, a JPI engine monitor, support for various GPS options from the GNS 530 to third-party GTN 750s, and support for MSFS 2024’s default EFB tablet.

It’s worth mentioning that the Aerostar will be compatible with MSFS 2024 only. The aircraft was rebuilt as 2024-native during development, and, as evidenced by the implementation of MSFS 2024’s default EFB within A2A’s tablet, appears to have the new simulator’s functionality deeply implemented within its systems.

A2A has another secret aircraft apart from the Aerostar in development, which is supposed to release in 2025. Make sure to stay tuned to FSNews for the latest on this secret aircraft. In the meantime, if you’d like to check out the original announcement and additional screenshots, you can do so at A2A’s forum here and here.
