Aeroplane Heaven Suspends Prepar3D Development, All Products Going Free

Aeroplane Heaven earlier today posted something that may seem like an early April Fool’s joke at first. The post started normally with Aeroplane Heaven announcing the suspension of all development for legacy FSX and all versions of Prepar3D.

Aeroplane Heaven for the past few months was focusing solely on the new Microsoft Flight Simulator and nothing was indicating that this would change anytime soon. Hence, this decision was inevitable.

This kind of announcement is recently very common with more and more developers discontinuing development for the older platforms. Previously, we’ve seen similar announcements from UK2000 or MK-Studios.

What is not very usual is that Aeroplane Heaven has decided to make all their products for FSX and Prepar3D free of charge. This 100% off permanent sale will begin on Monday, February 7th, 2022.

Aeroplane Heaven advised community members not to purchase any FSX or Prepar3D addons from any vendors, but rather wait until Monday and get the products for free exclusively through Orbx.

As a very nice gesture, Aeroplane Heaven will be giving full refunds to anyone who already bought any of their products since January 21st, 2022. Your refund will be handled by your vendor upon your request.

It is worth mentioning that Aeroplane Heaven will no longer update or support affected products.
