Aerosoft Publishes Update on MSFS2024 Compatibility

With the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Aerosoft has provided compatibility updates for their variety of airport sceneries, addons, and hardware devices. Through this communication, they want to ensure a seamless transition to the new simulator. Aerosoft published a table with the compatibility status of each of their airport sceneries and those that already work out of the box with MSFS2024.

Already Compatible Airport Sceneries

Aerosoft has confirmed that the following airport sceneries are fully compatible with MSFS2024. These sceneries require no updates, making the transition effortless for users. German airports like Frankfurt and Simwings Hamburg, as well as Scandinavian hubs such as Oslo, Trondheim, and Alta, are ready to use.

Additionally, other locations, including Brussels, Landโ€™s End, Midden-Zeeland, and Vitoria, can also be seamlessly transferred by copying the files from the MSFS2020 community folder to the MSFS2024 community folder. The Honeycomb Alpha and Honeycomb Charlie hardware series are already fully compatible with the new simulator and do not require any modifications.

List of Incompatible Addons

Some of the addons Aerosoft tested were found not to be compatible out of the box with MSFS2024. These addons will receive updates over time, with a small upgrade fee potentially applying. Key locations such as Friedrichshafen, Augsburg, and the East Frisian Airfields are among the more important entries requiring updates. Other addons, including several smaller airfields and unique landmarks like the Offshore Landmarks: North Sea, are also affected.

A detailed table with all of the incompatible addons by Aerosoft is available on their website.

Aerosoft Continues Testing

Testing and development are ongoing, and this list remains a work in progress. It should not be considered a final representation. Add-ons and hardware devices, such as the Honeycomb Bravo, are still in the testing phase to ensure full compatibility with the new simulator. Aerosoft’s full range of products is available for purchase on their official website.
