The Aerosoft team has updated their Frankfurt Airport scenery (EDDF) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This update is bringing the airport scenery up to par with the real counterpart, introducing the new Terminal 3 area that was just opened yesterday, according to Fraport.

The Aerosoft Frankfurt Airport scenery now includes an updated ground layout to accommodate this new terminal, including a new taxiway “S”. Many taxiway signs have thus been corrected and improved. Animated jetways are also available on Terminal 3, and the VDGS have been updated to accommodate a new “Safedock X” system. Around the whole scenery, the jetway placements have been improved to reduce clipping to the aircraft. Corrections have been made to the terraforming, and some spelling and markings have been changed at the de-icing pad number 2.

Changelog

  • Updated ground layout around Terminal 3 to the current 04/2026 state
  • Added new taxiway “S”
  • Added and corrected various taxiway signs
  • Fixed terraforming at the intersection between “N14” and “N”
  • Corrected spelling on markings at de-icing pad 2
  • Added animated jetways at Terminal 3
  • Upgraded VDGS models to the new “Safedock X” system
  • Adjusted jetway placements to reduce the chance of clipping when docked to aircraft
  • Adjusted min/max rotation values on jetways at A50–A69

The update is now available for free for everyone who has purchased Aerosoft Frankfurt for MSFS. You just need to update the scenery through the Aerosoft One application. You can also read more about Aerosoft and their scenery work in one of our previous articles here.
