A well-known X-Plane 11 study-level aircraft developer, Airfoillabs, has yesterday officially announced the development of Cessna 172 NG for X-Plane 11. The developer aims, with the new aircraft version to bring a new level of realism to the simulator.
The aircraft will, once released, feature a brand new 3D model, custom FMOD sounds, and realistic flight dynamics developed in cooperation with real-life pilots and instructors. Furthermore, more functionalities will be available in the left taskbar, and an EVO G1000 navigation will be present in the aircraft.
Whilst the complete feature list was not shared, a set of previews was and can be seen below showcasing both the aircraft exterior and interior, including the aircraft engine itself.
This new version of the aircraft was first mentioned in the New Year wishes made by the developer just about three months ago.
The expected release date and pricing model remains unknown.
