Airfoillabs has recently released new cockpit sneak peek pictures of its Boeing 737 MAX for X-Plane, classified as a “huge milestone” for the team. The developer, known for past releases such as the Cessna C172 NG Analog for X-Plane, has been working on this project for several months, aiming for realism and accuracy.
Cockpit Modeling & Base Texturing
Airfoillabs has finished modeling and base texturing for the entire 3D cockpit. Now, manual texture tuning has started so the aircraft can achieve an “ultra-realistic look and feel.” The team is focused on perfection and is confident it will be worth it. The cockpit can be seen below:

Additionally, major advancements have been made in the FMS. For instance, the Alternate Destinations (ALTN DESTS) and Nearest Airports (NEAREST ARPT) pages, along with a complex route transition logic and message recall, have been implemented. The Primary Flight Display (PFD) is also coming to life, as its core graphical elements are starting to work.
