Atelic has released their latest airport for the simulator, Venice Marco Polo for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. It follows their previous release, Dresden Airport, bringing another international European airport into the simulator.

About Venice Marco Polo Airport

Venice Marco Polo (LIPZ) is located on the mainland near the village of Tessera, about 4.7 miles from Venice city centre. It serves as the international airport of Venice and serves many key destinations across Europe. It also serves some seasonal long-haul routes to the United States, Canada and South Korea.

The airport recently expanded, bringing more capacity to its terminal, which had already served nearly 12 million passengers in 2025. Its singular main runway serves 100s of flights from low-cost carriers to long-haul flights. Airlines like Air France, British Airways, Ryanair, Delta, and many more all operate either daily or seasonally.

Atelic’s Venice Airport for MSFS

Atelic have developed a highly detailed recreation of Venice Airport with modelled interiors, detailed ground poly and animated traffic. Its highly detailed terminal interior covers the most up-to-date 2026 layout, along with the terminal expansion. All areas of the interior are modelled, including security, check-in, duty-free, and its lounges.

Around the airport, you can find highly detailed ground poly from Jakub Łukaszewski, with accurate markings on the apron and taxiways. Atelic have also textured the surfaces on the apron to include wear and tear, rubber markings, and weathering. Custom satellite imagery covers the entire airport, and handmade terrain extends as far as the lagoon marshlands around the airport.

Using MSFS 2024’s walkaround mode, the terminal interiors have been made walkable. The surrounding waterways and canals, including nearby boat yards, have also been modelled. Atelic have included a custom GSX profile for any GSX users to get the most accurate ground handling out of the airport.
