The development team of Cockspur has released another aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, this time recreating the Tipsy B. It is a small monoplane built in Belgium before World War II.
About the Tipsy B
The Tipsy B was first built in Belgium in 1935 by Ernest Oscar Tips. The plane has a wooden frame, and its fuselage is made of plywood and canvas, making it very light.
However, its flying characteristics are known for being friendly, yet unforgiving at the same time. Thus, improvements had to be made post-war.
Speaking of aircraft’s visuals, we can easily distinguish it with its triangular fin and a little bit of elliptical shape. In total, twenty-four models of this type were built, eight of those had an open cockpit and the rest had an enclosed canopy.
What Does Cockspur’s Rendition Offer?
The Cockspur team promises to bring a meticulously crafted add-on, recreating the Tipsy B in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It features a good recreation of the aircraft’s model and its distinctive features. The 3D model is covered in highly detailed PBR textures and the add-on plane promises to have accurate flight dynamics.
Furthermore, the developer also included five different liveries with the plane, and different customisation possibilities, with the ability to enable radios, compass, ground equipment or even a passenger through the cockpit clipboard.
