COWS Releases DA40-XLS on January 30th

 

The developer COWS, Creator of Worlds, has announced that they are going to release the highly anticipated DA40-XLS for both Microsoft Flight Simulators this Friday, 30th of January. The announcement has been made public together with the official trailer for this aircraft.

The DA40-XLS is an Austrian-made general aviation aircraft, powered by a single-engine sibling to the twin-engine DA42. The XLS variant is powered by Lycoming, and is usually equipped with Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. This plane is usually used for sightseeing flights, as it can carry up to 4 people. The DA40 can cruise at a speed of 150 knots, and can fly up to 720 nautical miles of range.

The short trailer by COWS presents the DA40 in its full glory in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, showing both the exterior and interior. Gradually, the developer enlightens us in the core features of the aircraft, including custom EIS pages, electrical system, simulated standby instruments, reactive system voltage and more.

The developer then mentions that this add-on is perfect for student pilots, as it is precisely crafted and flies like the real thing, with accurate performance and maneuvering.

So far, the pricing has not been revealed yet. However, the plane should be, as with its predecessor, COWS DA42, be available through the Orbx website.
