COWS have released new updates, bringing the DA40 up to V1.2.0 and their DA42 up to V1.3.0 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. These updates have brought quite a lot of changes and improvements across different parts of each aircraft.
COWS have re-tuned the flight controls, balance, surface friction and pitch dynamics for both aircraft, improving upon the previous flight model. The DA40 has also received a modelled PowerFlow exhaust and overhauled FADEC/ECU procedures. They also improved the oil and temperature physics and tuned its fuel/mixture dynamics.

The DA42 received an update overhauling its hydraulic landing gear system, including pressure drops, accumulators and leakage. Alongside improved propeller governor response and an updated ECU simulation. These updates have improved several areas across the flight model and powerplant for both aircraft.
Both aircraft also had updates to their audio and avionics for smoother audio handling, fixed cutouts during camera swaps, correct AFCS altitude and AP disconnect tones and added traffic callouts. For improvements to the systems, both aircraft saw refined fuel sensors, battery surface charges and overcharging, pitot resistive heating and strobe power pulses.

In terms of quality-of-life fixes, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 fixes improved nosewheel animations on the DA40 and wingflex issues on the DA42. Engine damage repair has been improved, along with SPAD-compatible trim LVARS. COWS has also updated manuals and checklists across both aircraft. Both updates are available now via Orbx and the in-sim Marketplace.
