Drzewiecki Design Releases Warsaw Chopin Airport for MSFS

The Polish developer Drzewiecki Design, responsible for many Polish sceneries for X-Plane, Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator, has brought the largest Polish hub, Warsaw Chopin Airport (EPWA), to life on the Asobo’s platform. The developer announced this release via their Facebook page.

About Warsaw Chopin Airport

Poland’s largest and busiest airport handles nearly 40% of all passenger traffic in Poland. Daily, around 300 scheduled flights are operated from this airport with increased numbers during summer, especially because of the charter flights.

The airport replaced the old Mokotów Field Airport back in 1934 due to urban growth in the area of the old airport. During WWII, the airport was used by the German army and was bombed numerous times by the Luftwaffe. After the war, Chopin Airport (back then Okecie Airport) resumed normal operations together with LOT, the national Polish airline.

Currently, the airport is operated by two runways and a single joint terminal building. Annually, Warsaw Chopin Airport serves over 18 million passengers.

The developer promises a top-quality airport model, with an up-to-date terminal, including extensive details like 3D terminal interior and custom clutter. The whole scenery is covered in high-quality PBR textures, dynamic lighting and realistic night texturing. Drzewiecki Design also created a custom mesh for the airport to make the surrounding area as realistic as possible.

While the scenery offers many details, a good performance is promised. The scenery is also fully compatible with Drzewiecki Design’s Warsaw Landmarks and GSX Pro.
