FlightFactor has taken to their social profiles to preview the cabin of their new 777v2. In the previews, we can see a fully modelled cabin with the economy and business class.
The developer has also showcased the lightning options. There will be two types of lights present in aircraft: main and ambient. Ambient lights are usually used during night flights or takeoffs and landings. Flight simmers will be able to adapt all lightning through the EFB present in the cockpit.
Last but not least, the emergency lights seem to be controllable as well. From the previews, it looks like they can be turned on through the EFB. It is unknown whether will they be also automatically triggered by various failure scenarios.
The developers have, in the past, announced and previewed various features such as the accumulation of snow on the fuselage, a fully modelled crew rest, functional hatches around the fuselage or an extensive failure system. It’s one of the most anticipated airliners for X-Plane.
If you want to learn more about the development of this aircraft and the other FlightFactors’ projects, I suggest you have a look at George’s article. The addon is expected to be released in 2022. The price is still unknown, however, there will be a free upgrade from X-Plane 11 to X-Plane 12 once released.
