FlightFactor is continuing to develop its 777v2 Ultimate for X-Plane 11 and 12. Released last year, this aircraft is expected to continue receiving updates and paid expansions. One of these updates coming soon is the Rolls-Royce (RR) engine expansion. The developer has already released one engine expansion: the PW EE engines. This engine expansion is a paid upgrade for the base 777v2 add-on, released at the end of February. Recently, FlightFactor came with news about the second engine expansion. A post on their social media was released with a first look at this new engine.
What is New With the 777v2 by FlightFactor?
The 777v2 is currently undergoing significant updates. Since its release, the add-on has received multiple updates to its VNAV functionality and new features. One of these features is the PW EE engine expansion for this aircraft. This new expansion for the 777v2 adds the Pratt & Whitney PW4090 engine option to this add-on.

The expansion includes primary and alternate EEC modes and a complete sound pack exclusive for this engine. In the future, this pack will also bring the Rolls-Royce Trent 892 engine for free. The 777v2 EE expansion is currently available at the x-plane.org store for $15. A bundle with the 777v2 Ultimate and the EE expansion is available for $104.

After the first engine expansion, FlightFactor continued to push updates for the 777v2. Right now, version 2.0.44 is the most recent build of this add-on. The last changes made to the aircraft include multiple fixes.
The Next Engine Expansion for the 777v2
The developer posted a teaser of their next engine expansion via social media. According to this post, it’s the Rolls-Royce engine expansion. The post also came with an image as a teaser of the engine. FlightFactor confirmed that this is still in development and will be released in the future.
