FlightFX has announced its first commercial airliner, the ERJ 145 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. With this release, FlightFX plans to push boundaries and create something never seen before by the developer. FlightFX is known for multiple add-ons, including the recent launch of the P180. They announced the ERJ last Friday through their Discord server.
About The ERJ Family
The Embraer ERJ family was designed and produced by the Brazilian aerospace company Embraer. The E145, being the biggest of the ERJ 140 series, can seat 50 passengers and has a range of 2000 nautical miles. It has become a popular regional jet, especially in the United States, serving destinations all over the country.
While its primary role has been to connect smaller cities to major hubs, it has also seen military use. Notably, the Brazilian Air Force operates 16 of the type, showing the aircraft’s versatility and adaptability. The aircraft’s efficient design and reliability have allowed airlines to continue operating the jet long after its introduction. It entered service back in 1997, and remains a key part of American Airlines’ regional fleet, with 63 of the type still in operation.

FlightFX’s ERJ 145
While there have not been a lot of announcements regarding the E145, the team at FlightFX has promised to “push boundaries and make something never seen before from FlightFX”. This is promising following their release of the P180, which featured advanced avionics, a detailed 3D model and an authentic flight model.
Along with FlightFX’s announcement of the aircraft, they posted a few early renditions of the aircraft that showcase the level of detail the developers strive to achieve. The aircraft offers a realistic cabin with the classic 2-1 seating configuration of the ERJ 145. Furthermore, we can see the front galley and door, with all their handles and hinges modelled. The developers even went the extra mile to model the lavatory, with scratches on the mirror.
So far, we do not have much information about the aircraft and things are subject to change. FlightFX said on their Discord, the aircraft is currently entering assembly, which means they are still in the modelling phase of development.
