Airforceproud95 posted a video on their YouTube channel showcasing the audio recording process by the development team at FlightFX. The audio in question was being recorded for their project ApX aircraft which is a rendition of the Cessna Citation X for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

About the Cessna Citation X and FlightFX
The Cessna Citation X (C750) is a twin turbofan jet built by Cessna in Wichita, Kansas. The jet made its maiden flight in 1993 and can carry up to nine passengers with a crew of two. With a service ceiling of 51,000 ft and a maximum range of approximately 6000 km (3700 miles), this jet is one of the most preferred business jets around the globe.
FlightFX specialises in creating aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator and is responsible for two of the most used general aviation jets in the simulator, the HA-420 HondaJet and SF50 Vision Jet G2. The team have also worked on releasing a few sceneries such as DuPage Airport (KDPA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (KFLL).
The Audio Recording Process
In the video, Airforceproud95 and the FlightFX team were travelling on N1BS, which is a Cessna Citation X powered by twin Rolls-Royce AE 3007 engines. They can be seen flying from Stockton, California to Lincoln, Nebraska and then to Sacramento, California for some new tyres and maintenance.
The amount of work the FlightFX team put in to release an addon can be noticed in the video as they were focused on picking up audio from each aspect of the aircraft, even while the aircraft was refuelled. The team picked up audio from different distances for the doors, engines, flaps and even the sounds for the hydraulic lines. The FlighFX team has gone to great lengths to make the addon as close to the real world aircraft as possible and it would be amazing to see it within the simulator.
Progress Update by FlightFX
FlightFX has also released a few screenshots for the Citation X on their Discord server. We can infer from the screenshots shared that most of the exterior and cockpit modeling for the aircraft has been completed. The avionics have also been brought to life along with all the switches and knobs being modeled correctly. The aircraft can also be seen soaring in the skies, hinting that the project might be nearing completion.
Conclusion
FlightFX hasn’t confirmed or discussed any possible release date. Neither the features nor the pricing for the aircraft has been discussed by the team but we can expect realism and in-depth simulation from this aircraft. The entire showcase video has been uploaded on Airforceproud95’s YouTube channel and can be accessed below.
