Frank Dainese Working on X-Plane 12 Sceneries

Frank Dainese has previewed his sceneries in X-Plane 12, showcasing areas of Italy and Switzerland.

Through the official Facebook page of X-Plane, Frank Dainese’s work has been previewed in the latest X-Plane 12. It is the first time the developer has shared any details or information regarding X-Plane 12.

The previews give us a nice idea of not only the custom scenery from Frank Dainese but also a general idea of how X-Plane 12 will look and be capable of. That is especially visible in the screenshots if you concentrate on the atmosphere, lighting and volumetric clouds. X-Plane 12 will also offer seasons from default. This capability is previewed in two of the previews.

The previews are showcasing various areas of the European Alps. The first preview is showcasing the Eiger Park in southern Switzerland, home of the Eiger mountain. The three other previews are showcasing various cities in northern Italy: Cortina d’Ampezzo, Courmayeur, and Trento.

The sceneries are very likely to come with the initial X-Plane 12 release, though yet only speculation.

The previews are also most likely not showcasing the final product, hence the floating buildings visible on them.

Frank Dainese did not yet disclose any details about upgrade fees from X-Plane 11 or potential release dates.
