FSDreamTeam Updates GSX to Version 3.5

A new update to the popular ground services add-on GSX has been released by its developer. Version 3.5 adds multiple new features, fixes, and changes to this add-on. FSDreamTeam, the developer of this add-on, has made changes to GSX Pro for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) and also released updates for the older GSX versions for P3D and FSX.

GSX Version 3.5.3

The biggest patch of version 3.5 was released on May 29th. It includes multiple entries on the changelog related to fixes and new features being added. One of the biggest changes made to all GSX versions is to its codebase. GSX now runs on a Stackless Python 3 codebase. Alongside this addition, GSX now has new tools for developers to detect the cargo loading status of the aircraft. Other changes made to all versions of GSX were related to menus and information displayed to the user.

The rest of the changes and additions were made exclusively for GSX Pro for MSFS. GSX Pro now supports seated passengers for the PMDG 777-200 with a profile for GSX automation for this add-on. A new passenger bus model has been added to GSX Pro. FsDreamTeam added custom license plates to catering trucks, passenger buses, and follow-me cars depending on their location in the world. New tools for add-on creators have also been added. Multiple other changes and bug fixes have been implemented, like crash-to-desktop issues fixed and other errors related to UI and airplane interactions.

Version 3.5.4 and 3.5.5

The other versions of GSX were released a few days later after version 3.5.3. Both are smaller patches compared to the first patch, but still added new features and changes to GSX. Version 3.5.4 increases the number of waypoints for passengers walking paths, airport walkers, and custom pushback routes. They also fixed the PMDG automation for both MSFS 2020 and 2024 in the public and beta versions. A small fix to the add-on installer was also released in this version.

Version 3.5.5 added new ground handlers to all GSX versions. The new operators are the following:

  • DNATA GTA (Canada)
  • GRAZ Airport (Austria)
  • Japan Air Commuter (Japan)
  • Menzies CNAC (Hong Kong)
  • Pacific Air Services (Guam)
  • CCS (Dominican Republic)
  • Turkish Do&Co (Turkey)
  • Gate Gourmet MAASA (Mexico)
  • Global Catering (Philippines)
  • SkyServ Nigeria (Nigeria)

Other changes and fixes were also rolled in version 3.5.5 for all GSX versions. If you want a more in-depth look at the changes made to GSX, you can check the changelog here. You can also read our previous article about GSX here.
