FSimStudios Announce MSFS2020 Plans

Yesterday evening, FSimStudios announced their plans for addon development for MSFS2020. The release date and version for that sim were announced yesterday. FSimStudios makes high-quality airport addons for North American airports. It was the first developer to announce development plans for the new simulator. Many more will follow in the coming days, about which we will keep you informed.

Their last development update was released at the end of May, you can read that here. Their current project: Vancouver Int’l Airport for P3D v4 and v5 will still release as scheduled in August. The addon will also be converted to the new MSFS. No pricing for that is announced yet, but the developer says the upgrade price will be low, if any at all.

The only other airports that will be converted to MSFS are Kelowna (CYLW) and Edmonton (CYEG) at some point, there’s no ETA yet. The other airport addons by the developer will not be converted. London, Ontario (CYXU) is also in development and will likely be for P3D and MSFS.

The post also mentions that a next version for Calgary (CYYC) is in development, but for what platforms is not yet decided. Two other airports are also being developed. In a previous post, the developer said they would like to rework Tocumen (MPTO) Airport, but it is not confirmed that this is one of those two. Again, a platform for these two airports is still to be decided.

Finally, FSimStudios says they will not drop development for P3D. MSFS will be on the side, but the main focus is and will stay on P3D for the foreseeable future.
