GotFriends Announces Development of A32 Vixxen for MSFS

GotFriends, a developer of small and quirky aircraft (freeware and payware), has announced the development of the Aeroprakt A32 Vixxen for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. On the official MSFS forum, GotFriends explained the project’s unlikely and surprising origins; while asking Heavenbound Aviation for pictures of two Taylorcraft models (the BL65 and BC12D), owner Andy Humphrey requested the development of the Aeroprakt A32 Vixxen.

Heavenbound Aviation—which offers flight training and maintenance and is the official US importer for Aeroprakt—intends to use the virtual plane as an IFR training aid for its real‑life flight students. This gives the team of four at GotFriends a rare opportunity to develop an aeroplane in collaboration with a flight school and an aircraft manufacturer’s representative, incorporating their knowledge and experience in its development.

Aeroprakt itself is a Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer best known for its A22 Foxbat model. The A32 Vixxen is a development of the A22. The sim version will be outfitted with a Rotax 912iS engine, dual‑seat glass‑cockpit avionics and an option for tundra tyres with mudguards. The project is still at a very early stage, and no release date has been set yet.

GotFriends also announced a delay to its next planned release, the AS33Me Glider. According to GotFriends, priority has been given to the MSFS 2024 upgrade of their popular Discus 2C Glider. The upgrade features improved LX gliding computer simulation, new textures, native electric FES simulation and code refinements.
