The developer iFly has shared a teaser video of the upcoming Service Pack 1 update for their 737 MAX aircraft series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This teaser video has been created and uploaded by MrSaturday on YouTube, and shows the aircraft in detail.
The showcase starts with a simple shot at the external view of the aircraft, with enhanced details on the engine cowlings and the radome, which can now be opened, and various external ports that are found around the 737 MAX in general. This will bring the aircraft closer to reality, and the walkarounds will get even more interesting for the virtual pilots enjoying the iFly 737 MAX.

In the next part of the video, the community gets a glimpse at the various seat configurations that this plane is going to include. That is the 166-seat configuration with a two-class cabin, a 178-seat two-class cabin and a single-class cabin with 200 seats. The latter of those is the 737 MAX-8200 version, which is currently only in use by Ryanair. The -8200 variant will also include the additional large emergency exit on its exterior model.
The Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) has finally received its deserved overhaul, with all the settings, take-off performance and other important flight data moved here from the conventional Boeing EFB. SimBrief import and announcements sounds were added, too. Viewing Navigraph Charts through the EFB is also available, and you can also connect to the ground services through here.

In the last part of the video, MrSaturday shows the iFly 737 MAX’s improved visual detail and animations during take-off and cruise. The last important piece of information found in this video is that the release is coming soon. Unfortunately, the official release date has not been disclosed yet.
It is important to notice that this update is going to be completely free of charge for all current users of the iFly 737 MAX in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
