iFly Shared a Video of the 737 MAX Cabin Walkthrough

The iFly team has recently shared a lot of information about the upcoming rendition of the Boeing 737 MAX for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, a full, one-minute-long video shows the cabin, the sounds and the cockpit of the aeroplane.

The video starts in the rear galley, and the showcase then gradually moves towards the front. We can see the iFly’s attention to detail in the cabin. We can especially notice the details on the overhead bins, which have handles that are fully modelled. The same applies to the tray tables on the seats and window covers.

Considering that the video is taken during the night in the simulator, we can also notice the night lighting of the cabin. The iFly team fully modelled the Sky Interior mood lighting. However, it is not yet known if the illumination may be changed.

The cockpit can be accessed by entering a code to the door. iFly modelled the cockpit in great detail as well, with all the knobs, buttons and switches modelled. The displays seem to be sharp as well, and the illumination of the cockpit also looks great.

We can also notice that the aeroplane is going to have the basic Boeing EFB modelled, with surveillance cameras showing footage of the galleys. However, we do not know yet whether the cameras are actually simulated, or are just images. The EFB seems to be capable of performing calculations, as the EFB on the captain’s side is enabled on the exact EFB page. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the systems of the iFly 737 MAX for Microsoft Flight Simulator, as the developer has not shared any information on them yet.

Moving over to the sounds, we can hear that they are dynamic and authentic for the 737 MAX experience. In the back of the aircraft, we can hear the muted noise of LEAP 1A engines, and gradually moving forward, we can hear the engine howl more. The same applies to generators, which can be heard only in the front of the aircraft.

The cockpit sound environment includes the cooling of computers, in combination with the engine sounds. The iFly team hasn’t shared any detailed sounds yet, like the switches or take-off sounds. Assuming the amount of previews recently shown, we might get more of these as time passes.

The iFly 737 MAX is already available on Prepar3D, and if you would like to get a better idea of what we might expect from the Microsoft Flight Simulator iteration, read our review of it here.
