iniBuilds has officially announced that Manchester Airport (EGCC) is in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, as part of its high-end Premium range. The news was shared in the developer’s July 2025 scenery update. This announcement follows the recent releases of Pyreegue’s Birmingham (EGBB) and RW Profiles’ Newcastle (EGNT), marking another major addition to the growing catalogue of UK airports crafted by leading developers.
About Manchester Airport (EGCC)
Manchester Airport is the UK’s third-busiest hub and a vital link for the north of England. Located roughly 9 miles from the city centre, Manchester Airport operates three terminals and two runways, the longest of which measures 3,048 metres (9,997 feet). It handles traffic from carriers such as Jet2, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic. A major redevelopment of Terminal 2 is also currently in progress.

Project Scope & Community help
Manchester joins iniBuilds’ expanding UK portfolio, following Heathrow and Gatwick. The team is actively inviting feedback from real-world pilots, ground crews, and frequent flyers to help ensure an accurate recreation of Manchester Airport’s facilities, layout, and ongoing transformation.

Although no release date has been shared, the teaser image in the announcement — a subtle outline of Manchester’s control tower — confirms development is underway. iniBuilds states the scenery will be built using the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 SDK, leveraging new capabilities for performance and visual fidelity. Detailed previews are expected closer to release. For previous iniBuilds releases, read here on FSNews.
