iniBuilds Development Update: A220, A380 and TriStar

iniBuilds shares major MSFS 2020 and 2024 updates including the Synaptic A220, A380 preview, and TriStar Airliner with improved systems and performance.

iniBuilds has released a new development update highlighting progress on the Synaptic A220, early work on the A380, and the upcoming TriStar Airliner. Alongside these headline projects, the team also shared improvements across existing aircraft such as the A300, A340, and A350, focusing on performance, system stability, and overall usability. You can read the full update on the iniBuilds forum.

Recent Aircraft Updates

Over the past few weeks, iniBuilds has rolled out updates for the A300-600R, A340, and A350. These updates focus on improving performance, refining system behaviour, and enhancing day-to-day usability across the fleet.

The A300-600R received significant performance optimisations, particularly benefiting cockpit environments and the freighter variant. Meanwhile, the A350 update introduces improvements to FMGS behaviour, navigation logic, and display consistency. The A340 has also been refined with better flight guidance accuracy, improved navigation handling, and additional visual and audio enhancements, all driven by community feedback.

Synaptic A220

The Synaptic A220 continues to progress towards release, with key systems already in place. These include a fully custom fly-by-wire system, advanced autopilot and autoland capabilities, and detailed simulations of electrical, hydraulic, and bleed air systems.

The flight management system has been completely rebuilt to improve performance and integration across the aircraft. This allows for more accurate behaviour, including realistic navigation transitions and improved flight guidance logic.

With thousands of system inputs and complex internal logic, the A220 aims to deliver a highly detailed and stable simulation experience. Development is now approaching its final testing phase, marking an important milestone for the project.

A380 Preview

iniBuilds has also provided an early look at its upcoming A380 project, which is already in active development. The team is placing a strong emphasis on real-world accuracy, using extensive data collection, high-resolution photography, and pilot feedback.

Both the external model and cockpit are being carefully recreated using real references, ensuring accurate proportions, layout, and overall realism. The development process also includes visits to real aircraft and simulators to gather detailed measurements and operational insights.

Although still in an early stage, the A380 project shows strong potential and reflects iniBuilds’ commitment to delivering high-fidelity aircraft.

TriStar Airliner

The TriStar Airliner is now approaching release, with development entering its final stages. One of its most notable features is the fully simulated three-crew cockpit, including a Virtual Flight Engineer capable of managing automated flows with real-time audio feedback and callouts.

This feature allows users to interact with the aircraft in a more immersive way while simplifying complex procedures. Cabin crew interactions are also simulated, dynamically reacting to different phases of flight and enhancing the sense of a fully operational airliner.

Navigation is another key focus, with multiple selectable modes including RADNAV, INS, GPS, and hybrid configurations. A moving map system is also included, linked to INS positioning, meaning incorrect alignment can lead to realistic navigation errors.

The Paper Flight Bag (PFB) acts as a central hub, offering performance calculations, SimBrief integration, loadsheet management, and automated procedures. These features combine to deliver a flexible and highly authentic experience, suitable for both experienced simmers and those new to classic aircraft.

Final Remarks

iniBuilds is entering an exciting phase across multiple projects, with the A220 approaching its final stages and the A380 continuing steady development. Alongside these, the TriStar Airliner is also progressing towards release, marking a major milestone for the team. As always, community feedback remains a key part of the development process, helping refine each aircraft and improve the overall experience.
