iniBuilds Releases Innsbruck for MSFS

The iniBuilds team has announced a new airport release for Microsoft Flight Simulator, this time going to the heart of the Austrian Alps and one of the most challenging airports to fly to, Innsbruck (LOWI).

About Innsbruck Airport

The airport in Innsbruck is one of the most challenging and interesting airports in the world. with its location being right in the middle of a valley between hills that are as tall as 2,700 metres. The winds reflecting from the peaks around also create challenging wind conditions, and special training is needed for pilots to fly to this airport.

During the inauguration of the current terminal in the 1960s, the airport was actually able to handle aeroplanes as large as the Boeing 767. The terminal is going to be renovated, and the construction started five years ago.

During summer, many popular summer destinations are offered to be flown from Innsbruck, this includes Cagliary, Kalamata, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Palma de Mallorca or Lamezia Terme.
