The developer iniBuilds has released another scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This time, the team has taken us to Cyprus and its largest airport, Larnaca. The announcement of this scenery occurred a few days before, and the announcement of the release was made today through the developer’s Discord server.
As mentioned, Larnaca is the largest airport located on the island of Cyprus, and serves as the main hub for Cyprus Airways. The airport is located near Larnaca City, which is located on the southeast side of the island. The airport is served by a single main passenger terminal and a single runway (04/22). The airport opened as a military airfield in the 1930s and was reopened in 1975 as an international airport.

Currently, the airport is being used by a variety of European, African and Asian carriers, offering destinations to all three continents. Larnaca Airport also has cargo connections to major cargo hubs around the world, such as Liege, Atlanta, New York or Leipzig. Speaking of passenger destinations, there are flights to Abu Dhabi, Rome, Belfast, Helsinki or Amsterdam. The airport is mostly operated seasonally during summer, during which the airport sees the most passengers and aircraft movements.
About iniBuilds Larnaca
The iniBuilds team promises to offer a detailed rendition of this airport, with hand-made ground textures for all the taxiways, apron and the runway, custom landside with a load of detail, decals and custom vegetation. The airside, on the other hand, offers realistic dynamic lighting, hand-crafted terminals, and high-quality jetway models. In total, there are more than 180 hand-crafted models of buildings and other various objects scattered around the airport.
The scenery also offers a custom GSX profile, ensuring realistic behaviour of ground services around the airport. This Larnaca Airport scenery is also created based on the latest 2025 layout of the real-life counterpart. Lastly, iniBuilds utilises modern features of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s engine, optimising the performance using level of detail rendering radius and other modern SDK features.

You can purchase this scenery through the iniBuilds website for approximately €11.57. This price may vary in your region, as the price is stated without the local VAT, and as you will be charged in GBP, the conversion rate may be different on the day of your purchase.
