iniBuilds Releases Leeds Bradford for MSFS

As reported earlier today, the developer announced their work on Leeds Bradford Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with planned same-day release. The scenery is now available to be purchased just a few hours later after the initial announcement. The iniBuilds team informed about this fact via their Discord.

Leeds Bradford Airport (EGNM) is an international airport located in West Yorkshire, England. It serves both the cities of Leeds and Bradford. It opened in 1931 and was largely used for general aviation and training purposes. The first scheduled flights took place in 1935 and the first terminal was also being built at the time. During the 1960s, when the jet era started, a new runway was built and British manufacturer Avro constructed a shadow factory here.

Nowadays, Leeds Bradford Airport serves as a base for Jet2 and Ryanair and both of these airlines offer the most routes from the airport at the moment. Among these two airlines, the airport is also being operated by Aer Lingus, KLM, TUI, Wizz or SunExpress.

The iniBuilds’ recreation offers modern features, such as hand-made ground texture sets used across the whole scenery, including runway, aprons, paths, roads and 3D models around the airport. The developer also faithfully recreated the airside of Leeds Bradford Airport, with custom ground decals, signposts, custom vegetation, parking barriers and more.

Speaking of the airport layout, the scenery was recreated with the latest airfield data in mind. Taxi signage is placed according to the real-world counterpart, there are custom-built jetways and accurate dynamic lighting.

Speaking of performance, iniBuilds promises that the scenery utilises the simulator’s SDK as great as possible, with Level of Detail optimisations. And lastly, a custom GSX profile is available with the release of the scenery as well.

You can get this scenery through the iniManager app and their website for approximately €11.71. Please keep in mind that this price does not include your local value-added tax. Thus, the price may increase a bit upon checkout.
