iniBuilds continues to bring their older add-ons from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 to the new simulator. They already brought some sceneries like Ibiza and Palm Springs to MSFS 2024. This time, the developer brings one of their more popular add-on aircraft from MSFS2020 into 2024. The A300-600 has been released for MSFS 2024. The new paid version is the “Premium” version with new special features native to this simulator. iniBuilds also announced that if you own an existing A300-600 copy for MSFS 2020, it is now fully compatible with MSFS 2024 for free. This “Compatible” version will not boast any new features that the Premium version offers.
The Compatible Version of The A300-600
As part of their release strategy for MSFS 2024, iniBuilds has updated the old A300-600 for MSFS 2020 to make it compatible with MSFS 2024. Version 1.13 has been released bringing various fixes and allowing you to use the A300-600 in both simulators. According to iniBuilds, this version is releasing in a beta state. The developer still has some areas of the aircraft to work on before it is fully compatible with MSFS 2024. This update is free and can be downloaded via the iniManager. iniBuilds also released the changelog of this update with fixes to the EFB and aircraft systems.

The New Premium Version of The A300-600
The Premium version of the A300-600 is exclusive to MSFS 2024. This version brings all the previous features from the MSFS 2020 version and adds newer features and improvements linked to the newer technology offered by MSFS 2024. The flight model of this aircraft was improved for better ground movement as tyers now react to the aircraft load distribution and payload, simulating a realistic tire pressure. The aerodynamics of the aircraft and drag profile were also enhanced in this new version.

Preflight walkarounds are one of the new features added in MSFS 2024. iniBuilds took advantage of the MSFS 2024 systems and added interaction points to this aircraft. You can now perform your preflight walkaround interacting with the actual aircraft to verify its integrity. You can interact with the engine cowlings and cargo doors during the walkaround for added immersion. However, iniBuilds noted that the engine cowling is only interactable with the GE engine variant.

Other changes and improvements were made to the EFB, sounds, and textures. The LODs were optimized and with the new MSFS 2024 modular system you can expect reduced load times and improved performance. iniBuilds also noted an issue with closing the simulator with this aircraft which they are already working on a fix in collaboration with MSFS 2024 developer Asobo. Finally, the developer noted that the liveries from the previous A300 for MSFS 2020 are not compatible with this new add-on.
You can now purchase the A300-600 Premium for MSFS 2024 via the iniBuilds store for £44.99 and SimMarket for €54.99. If you own the previous version of MSFS 2020, you are entitled to a discount by paying only the upgrade price of £9.99 via the iniBuilds store.
