iniBuilds Showcases A350 on a Livestream

The team at iniBuilds has started the official in-simulator showcase of the A350 for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Flight Simulator 2024 today.

The team at iniBuilds has started the official in-simulator showcase of the A350 for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Flight Simulator 2024 today. This is the official first showcase stream of the aircraft, where a real-world A350 showed us through the whole aeroplane.

The livestream started by showcasing the aircraft interior model in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The cockpit is shown in general, as well as in detail, with a close look at knobs and switches. The team has mentioned a specific detail about the text in the cockpit, it is not only a texture, but it is actually engraved into the 3D model.

Going further, the livestream shows the power-up sequence in the cockpit, with starting the batteries, and ground power and we can see the systems come online. The A350 got a new version of the iniBuilds EFB, that includes all the needed pages for your flight, such as terminal charts, flight ops STS, load sheet, performance pages, as well as ground and maintenance utilities.

Moving over to the exterior, the iniBuilds team showcases smaller details like decals and stickers on the fuselage. We can also notice the 3D model of ground power and the aircraft as a whole. There are also details such as a fully functional system compartment and other hatches that you can get into. This, however, is mostly used by aircraft technicians rather than pilots. A lot of pilots will still appreciate such details, though.

Back in the cockpit, the team previews more animations of buttons and an openable hatch to access the system bay. Continuing further, we can see a full cockpit pre-flight preparation, including working with the DCDU, and even updating the navdata through the built-in EFB. We can also see the intuitiveness of the DCDU, which can automatically uplink all the required data from the EFB load sheet just by pressing “enter” on the keyboard. The EFB display can also be moved to the central display unit. This is especially handy during taxi.

During the cockpit preparation, we can also hear the PA announcements in the cabin. The language of the PA announcements can be changed to various international languages through the EFB.

The EFB also has official Navigraph integration, which also makes the OANS work in the A350. Thus, you can see airport maps directly on your MFD.

During the taxi, the iniBuilds team shows setting up the autobrake, performs flight controls checks and mentions that during the taxi, you can skid the front landing gear if you oversteer. Thus, you need to be a bit more careful with your on-ground handling. The A350 also has a fully functional weather radar, which can be turned on through the EFIS.

During take-off, we could namely enjoy the sounds of the A350, including the engine roar and the humming of a retracted landing gear. During the flight, we could take a closer look at possible failures that can happen. iniBuilds not only included some classic aircraft failures like depressurisation and engine failure but there is also bird strike and GPS jamming available. It has been stated that many more failures are going to be included in the future.

Moreover, for those who don’t like sitting behind long flights, the iniBuilds A350 is also going to include accurate time acceleration, with optimised performance and accurate fuel consumption.

During the cruise, more system features have been shown, like DIR TO, which can be easily done through the MFD. You can also create an artificial waypoint by clicking on the aircraft icon, in case you would like to avoid weather conditions or something else. The community also got a thorough look on the ECAM.

They have also shown the depressurisation of the cabin, and the A350 can automatically start emergency descent. The team then planned a diversion to London Stansted, where they landed using ILS, which seems to work correctly on this development build of the aircraft. The iniBuilds team also developed the BTV (Brake to Vacate) function during deceleration on the runway. As we could have seen, this automatic system tried to aim for the desired exit point quite accurately without interference of the pilot.

Next week, another showcase livestream is going to happen that is going to show more features of the iniBuilds A350. They have mentioned that before the official release some more promotional material, including collaborations with streamers is going to happen. It has been announced that the iniBuilds A350 is going to be released by the end of this month. Stay tuned on FSNews to keep in touch with the latest information about this upcoming long-haul aircraft.

EDIT 6/2/2025 2229z: Added a new reupload link of the livestream, which was removed by iniBuilds.
