A300 PW Engine Variant for MSFS Previewed by iniBuilds

iniBuilds recently posted on their Facebook page about the upcoming features of the A300-600R for Microsoft Flight Simulator. They hinted at the inclusion of the Pratt and Whitney engine variant of the Airbus A300 and new official liveries for this variant.

In addition to this, bug fixes will be made. They also mentioned the addition of a modern radio unit called the IDC, which will allow the use of CPDLC and ACARS on this aircraft. These features will also be available on the Xbox version of the aircraft.

New Features Coming to the A300-600R: The A300PW, and More…

Based on the add-on’s store page, it was announced from the beginning that features such as the PW engines and the IDC would be added in a later update and were not included in the initial release. The developers have confirmed in this new teaser that they are currently “working very hard” on the A300-600R. One of the upcoming features on the Airbus A300 from iniBuilds will be the option to fly with the Pratt and Whitney PW4158 engines. They have also mentioned that they are addressing bug fixes from the current build.

The Anticipated IDC Brings CPDLC and ACARS Capabilities

One of the significant changes coming to the aircraft is the implementation of the IDC, a modern radio unit that enables communication technology like CPDLC and ACARS. During testing, the new variant was pictured with new liveries from their team of painters. The team also confirmed that they are updating existing liveries for the new variation.

There was no mention of a release date or expected timeframe for the newly teased features. However, the developers confirmed that the changes will be available for both PC and Xbox versions of the aircraft.
