iniBuilds has released version 1.0.7 of its A340 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, delivering a major update that introduces the long-awaited VIP variant. Alongside this feature-rich addition, the update includes numerous fixes and improvements across avionics, visual effects, and aircraft systems. The A340 now offers an experience catering to both airline and executive-style operations.
iniManager Availability
For the first time, the A340 Airliner is available through iniManager. Previously, the aircraft was distributed exclusively via the in-game Marketplace, with iniBuilds citing piracy concerns as the reason for this limited release strategy. Now that this initial phase has concluded, users can manage their A340 installation, updates, and settings directly through iniBuilds’ dedicated platform, offering greater flexibility and control.
Users who originally purchased the aircraft through the Marketplace can complete a dedicated transfer form to migrate their license. This new access method provides a more flexible environment for managing updates and configuration preferences outside of the simulator.
VIP Variant Features
The newly added VIP variant turns the A340 into a fully interactive long-range private aircraft. The custom interior includes a master bedroom with an ensuite, crew rest bunks, conference suites, lounges, and a full VIP first-class and business cabin layout. A fully simulated Flight Attendant Panel offers interactive control over lighting and cabin features, and a dedicated SimBrief profile supports tailored flight planning for executive operations.
Systems and Avionics Improvements
Version 1.0.7 also delivers significant improvements to the core aircraft systems. These include fixes to MCDU behaviour, electrical and ECAM logic, CPDLC/AOC message handling, and brake fan operations. The EFB now retains configuration between sessions and offers improved door status indication, while the navigation display and autopilot behaviour have been refined for more consistent day-to-day use.
Visual and Audio Enhancements
Visual and audio aspects of the aircraft also receive updates in this release. iniBuilds has improved cabin lighting, icing and snow effects, strobe animations, and ambient shading across the aircraft. The VIP variant benefits from newly added interactive sounds and polished cabin animations, including functioning faucets, tray tables, and partition doors.
