Jetstream Designs Geneva Announced for MSFS

Jetstream Designs has recently taken to their Facebook page to announce their new rendition of the second busiest airport in Switzerland, Geneva Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. In addition to that, a big name in the flight simulator community joins their team.

Big Name Joining Jetstream Designs Team

Marcus Nyberg from the Orbx team has now joined Jetstream Designs. He is known for his Scandinavian Airports like Stockholm Arlanda for Microsoft Flight Simulator, on which he has worked closely with Jetstream.

According to the Facebook post, Markus will play a crucial role and will ensure the quality of Jetstream’s products. He will also continue his indie development within Orbx.

Jetstream’s Geneva Airport Development

Jetstream Designs then proceeded to speak about the upcoming rendition of Geneva Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This rendition is still a work in progress but Thomas and Marcus are providing their skills to make this scenery as great as possible. It has been mentioned that the release is not far away now and some finishing touches are being added to the scenery.

About Geneva Airport

Geneva Airport (LSGG), formerly known as Cointirin Airport, with 15 million passenger traffic annually. It serves as the main hub for Swiss International Air Lines and easyJet Switzerland. The airport is connected to a wide range of international hubs around the world, with some long-haul routes to America, the Middle East, China or Africa.

The airport was opened in 1919 and was mostly used by Lufthansa, which operated routes to Barcelona via Halle, Leipzig and Marseille. The former flagship airline Swissair operated Geneva-Lyon-Paris route as well, back in those times. By 1930, there were six major airlines that operated to or from this airport.
