Just Flight has just released update 1.4 for its RJ Professional. Key highlights of this update include the addition of a new RJ100QT freighter variant, an MSFS 2024 native package, and model optimizations for improved performance.

Version 1.4 of the RJ Professional features the addition of the RJ100QT, a fictional variant based on the RJ100. In real life, a freighter variant of the Avro RJ was conceptualized by BAe Systems as a retrofit for the RJ100, but it would never make it past the drawing board. Just Flight has taken these ideas and brought them to the simulator to satisfy those who wish they could transport cargo with the RJ as they could with the 146 Professional, which did have real freighter variants.

Alongside the addition of the freighter variant is a totally native MSFS 2024 package. Although the RJ Professional received an MSFS 2024 compatibility update long ago, it still used an MSFS 2020 package that was able to run in the new simulator thanks to its backwards compatibility. Now, however, the RJ has been rebuilt using the MSFS 2024 SDK, which should make the aircraft behave better in the new sim and opens it up to the implementation of native MSFS 2024 features.

The RJ Professional’s default liveries have been updated to include custom cabin textures depending on the airline. Seats, catering trolleys, and other parts of the cabin feature the chosen airline’s colors, logos, and branding.

This update also includes many fixes, optimizations, and quality of life features. Some of the highlights from the full changelog include the addition of SimBrief OFP import for the FMS, more LOD models for improved performance, and a fix for autopilot pitch oscillations.

Version 1.4 of the RJ Professional is available now to all owners of the aircraft. If you’d like to take a look at the full changelog, you can do so here. Just Flight is still working on updating its entire fleet to be MSFS 2024 compatible, so stay tuned to FSNews for the latest on these updates.
